ORGAN-Specific Peptide Canine Safety Study

چکیده
Extending the quality of life companion pets is humane to and value pet owners. Several veterinary life-saving therapeutic technologies have been proposed. We developed novel peptide therapies for both clinical using organ-specific stem cell derived peptides under name Biopep Inc. Our first therapy, EW-iJMP7, comprised signaling that are associated with maintenance regular bone, cartilage, joint synovial fluids found in placenta, central nervous system, thymus. In this study, we aim determine effect Intramuscular (IM) de-livery these well characterized canine models. gave six adult dogs once weekly injection EW-iJMP7 cocktail intramuscularly. These animals were euthanized after 1 or 2 weeks. Blood analysis was conducted assess whole blood count chemistry prior euthanasia. Liver, kidney, heart, lung samples collected euthanasia histopathology analysis. results indicated did not cause observable side effects dogs’ appearance behavior, however, it resulted a Significant Reduction Of Platelet Count ALT (SGPT) which remained within normal range, significant increase BUN/Creatinine ratio above range. Data from study will provide safety data on advancing technology assist support further studies animal models longevity arthritis pets.

متن کاملOrgan-Specific Autoimmune Disease
It is well appreciated that organ-specific autoimmune diseases run in families, but that within a family one member may have type 1 diabetes, another autoimmune thyroid disease, and another multiple sclerosis (1). What causes clustering of different autoimmune diseases along genetic lines, and what logic causes the immune system to take aim at different organ targets? In this issue, Salomon et ...
متن کاملOrgan-specific autoimmunity in mice whose T cell repertoire is shaped by a single antigenic peptide.
Organ-specific autoimmune diseases have been postulated to be the result of T cell response against organ-specific self-peptides bound to MHC molecules. Contrary to this paradigm, we report here that transgenic mice lacking MHC class I expression and expressing an MHC class II I-A(b) molecule that presents only a single peptide (E alpha 52-68) spontaneously develops peripheral nervous system-sp...
متن کاملorgan-specific stem cell pools
Stem cells can self-renew and maintain the ability to differentiate into mature lineages. Whereas the ‘‘stemness’’ of embryonic stem cells is not discussed, the primitiveness of a stem cell type within adult organisms is not well determined. Data presently available are either inconclusive or controversial regarding two main topics: maintenance or senescente of the adult stem cell pool; and plu...
